David Renton

After a prolonged battle with diabetes David passed away on June 14/22 at Northumberland Hills Hospital. David Renton at 84 years of age. Loving and Devoted Husband of Maureen Renton (nee Smith) for 61 years. Beloved and wonderful father of Kevin (Shari Little) and David Jr. (predeceased in 2015). A devoted and proud Grandpa, he will be remembered and forever missed by his grandchildren Kyle Renton, Alexandria Renton, Cassandra (Joseph) Gobbee, Carson (Phoebe) Getz, Claire (Clayton) Irwin and wee little great granddaughter Vienna Irwin.

Birthplace Bannockburn, Scotland UK, David also leaves behind his loving brother Sandy (Ina) and his dear sister Anne. Sadly predeceased by mother Helen (Forsyth), father William as well as siblings Jim(Cathie), Archie(Margaret), Bill and Margaret. Lovingly remembered by nephew Brian (Carolyn) Larkin in British Columbia, Canada as well as many other nephews and nieces in the United Kingdom.

Dad immigrated to Canada in September 1966, 4 months before my mom and myself arrived. He found work at CN Rail then Pilkington Glass where he stayed for 35 years. He worked hard and steady providing us with a great life, never taking a day off. He was a one-of-a-kind wonderful father. He was always there, proud and supporting for me and my younger brother David and then later on for his grandkids also.

Private Family Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 25th 2022 at 2:00 PM. Afterwards, we invite all loved ones, friends and family to gather at David’s residence for a Celebration of Life at 3:30 PM.
