Glen Harvey Balson

Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday August 15, 2022
at the age of 79. He leaves behind his partner Karen, brother Doug (Sandy) and
sister Beverley (Garry). Predeceased by his parents Harvey and Emma Balson and
sister Betty Balson. Glenn’s nieces and nephews will miss his practical joking as
will many friends at Pigeon Lake Campers Resort. He loved hockey and lacrosse
and was an avid fan of the Peterborough Pete’s and the Lakers. He will also be
remembered as a referee of Oldtimers’ hockey who has been known to make bets
on which referee will call the first penalty of the game. He enjoyed many years
working with the Examiner and Chex television. Many thanks to the ICU and B3
staff of Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their kind care. In his honour,
memorial donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Foundation would be
greatly appreciated. As per his wishes, private cremation has taken place.
