Irene Frances Smith (nee Trick) passed peacefully in her sleep at home on March 9th, 2023. Born in Millbrook, ON, March 14th, 1933 to Herbert and Jesse Trick (nee Lake). Loving wife to James Albert (Al) Smith, and Mother to Randy (Sue), Joanne (Dave), and Roger (Andrea), Grandmother to Rebecca, Amy (Wade), and Marissa, and Great Grandmother to Rhett. Irene was a wonderful woman who always gave her all to others in every way. She was an avid gardener which inspired her artistic work in sketching and painting with oils, acrylics, and watercolour. Irene was a founding member of The Buckhorn Artist Group. She was a very giving soul, supporting many charities all her life. Irene was a very active member in the Anglican Church Women of St. Albans Church in Peterborough, and of St. Matthew’s/St. Aiden’s Anglican Church in Buckhorn. Irene will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her!
