MURPHY, William Gerald “Gerry”

It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of William Gerald Murphy on Saturday, April 13, 2024; aged 88 years. Gerry passed peacefully with family by his side at Port Perry Hospital. He will be deeply missed by his wife Diane, daughters Anne-Maree and Tricia (Patrick) and his grandchildren, Scott (Chantel), Bryan, Erica (Russell), Danielle, Natasha and Matthew. He will also be missed by his step-daughters Heather (Mark) and Karen (Craig), and their families Lindsay (Jordon), Holly (Thomas), Nolan, Liam and Audrey. Gerry was predeceased by his sisters Mayme and Eileen and brother Jim and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Always up for a game of cards or snooker and a pint of Guinness, Gerry was an active member of the Port Perry Legion and will be missed by many friends and “cronies”. Gerry will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Legion in Port Perry on Sunday June 2, 2024 from 12:00pm-4:00pm.
